Meteor Crater
is located near Flagstaff, Arizona, and we stopped here on
our way to Roswell. Unfortunately the visitor center does not allow animals,
so I had to wait outside with little Adric the guinea pig. narul snapped
the great photo above with my digital camera.
The crater is over 4000 feet across and 500 feet deep. The crater was formed when a 150 foot meteorite fell there about 50,000 years ago. |
