9 Nov 2006 ... Booking: PreRead List

Booking Through Thursday meme

  • Do you keep a list of books to read? Where do you keep your list (computer, PDA, paper, etc.)? How often do you refer to your list? Every time you go for a new book to read? When book shopping? Or?

Altho I do keep redundant lists of the books that I have already read, I don't technically keep a list of books that I want to read.

There is the wish list at Amazon. Currently, it's at 87 items, mostly books with a couple CDs and movies. I look at this list everytime I'm gearing up for an "Amazon run"... which has not been very often during the past year or so. And now, I'm trying _not_ to look at it because Xmas is getting close!

And there is my "list" of the ebooks I've downloaded from Project Gutenberg. Currently, this list is at 316... oops, now it's 317! ha. I go through these books whenever my handheld needs new ones. It's actually been several months since I've made any new books for my handheld because I bought a few ebooks, and I'm reading a big fat Darwin book... I love to read Darwin, but the book is over 850 pages, so it takes a while!

Actually, it would probably be a smart thing to list the books that I own, but I haven't read yet. I've now got several piles of new books, spread throughout our home: a pile next to my computer, a boxed pile in my closet, a random pile in my closet bookshelf, and a pile in our porch room. It's just complete chaos around here!

Maybe I could start a check list on my handheld of my piles... hm. I could include the magazines I've recieved but not read yet as well.

laugh, like I need a new project. (see previous post!)
