I know! I haven't typed in ages! Well, here I am trying to get back into the swing of things...

What wonderful foods did you bring home from the grocery store?

Midweek Munchies: What rift is contributing for the week

Coke it's always at the top of my list, even tho it is Evil.
Calcium pills I can't afford the vegan kind, unfortunately. I have to take extra calcium because one of the drugs I'm on has some scary side effects. bleh.

Broccoli I love broccoli, and it's full of calcium too!
Celery chopped up and added to my ramen for a healthy crunch.
Oranges for Tegan the guinea pig. I don't like oranges, myself.

Ramen Top Ramen brand, Oriental style happens to be vegan. and cheap. and easy to dress up with veges!
Pasta of course. I can't live without my pasta.
Vege Bouillon I get Knorr Vegetarian Vegetable Bouillon, but I'm not sure if it's vegan... One of these days I need to look it up to see what kind is the best.
Yeast for my bread, and on sale so I got to save a couple dollars!

Margarine The stupid store reduced the size of it's refrigerated organic section, and no longer carries the sticks of Earth Balance. But they do have this Shedd's Willow Run, Soybean Marg that's "guaranteed all vegetable", so I guess that's good enough. We'll see if it tastes as good as the Earth Balance...

Some tea just ordinary, cheap black tea.
Apple Cider packets this is my favorite flavoring for my cheap black tea.
Sugar just ordinary sugar, since Sugar in the Raw is too expensive for my jobless self.
Organic Maple Syrup my one splurg item! Yum.

Frozen Peas and some Frozen Green Beans because you cannot live on pasta and sugar alone. heh.

I also got some fake Excedrin, I've been under the weather and have been going through my stash like candy. Dental floss, non-waxed because I'm trying to save the world, here. Some soap and a new kind of deodorant, Crystal Deodorant: cruelty-free and safe for the environment, so I guess it's good.

I also bought some hair clips. I've been growing my hair out, and my bangs are driving me crazy, getting in my face.

And that is all. Today's total was 55$. And when I got home, I realized that we are getting low on rice. darn.
