|10 June 2003 ... My Dirt|
I almost forgot to water my dirt this morning. You know, the Hummingbird Garden seeds, I planted two weeks ago, and which I killed by roasting. Yes, I'm still watering the dirt every day, because I'm optimistic that way.
I filled up my cup with water, and as I was opening the back door, I told the dirt, "I had a dream about you last night. I dreamed that SO came and told me that you guys were growing."
I poured the water in the dirt... And there's a tiny stick of GREEN coming out of the dirt!!! I leaned over, and there's TWO tiny sticks of GREEN!!! Yay, I am so happy!
oh and you know what else? I love dirt.
I was thinking the other day that it would be cool to have a plant pot which was clear. So you can see the dirt! and the roots and stuff.
But then I thought, maybe algae or goo grows on the inside of pots and so that is why they don't make translucent pots. And I thought it was such a brilliant invention.
I like the smell of good, clean, wet dirt. I love it when I give all my potted plants a good soaking and the smell of dirt permeates the place.
